Privacy Policy

At West Plains Bank, we know how important personal privacy is to you.

We periodically review our procedures and practices to ensure the continued protection of your privacy. As a result, West Plains Bank has adopted the following privacy principles, continuing our commitment to provide the best possible service to you, our customer.

Introduction:
West Plains Bank values each customer relationship, many of which have spanned generations.  It is the Bank’s honor to manage these relationships with great care, beginning with the privacy of its customers. Privacy should never be compromised.  However, there must be a balance between privacy and Bank function without compromising security.

Purpose:
The Bank recognizes that customers expect their personal financial information to always remain private and secure.  This policy will outline customer information privacy standards.  

Policy:
The Bank will limit the use and collection of customer data unless necessary to do business and provide superior service.  All retained customer data will be accurate and complete.  It would be expected that occasionally, on a very limited basis, that some retained information is inaccurate or incomplete.  Employees will continually verify stored customer information and amend as needed.

Private customer information will only be available to those employees that need the information to conduct business. All employees are held responsible for maintaining high privacy standards. The Bank’s data processing systems are in a secure environment both physically and electronically and the associated internal security standards are outlined in the Information Security Policy.

It is the policy of the Bank to not reveal specific customer information regarding accounts or other private information to outside parties unless:

  1. Customer Authorization.
  2. Required for customer transaction.
  3. Situation in which customer data is lawfully permitted or required to be shared.

West Plains Bank does not have any affiliates in which information would be shared. However, there will be times when a third party is required to complete a transaction.  These third parties are expected to maintain the same privacy standards as outlined above.  If not, the Bank will cease to do business with that third party.  Customers expect an unwavering commitment to privacy. In the unlikely case that a breach of privacy was committed, Management will be notified, and resolve the situation.
